gus at two months

Now, when I say this is my baby gus that's exactly what I mean. This was taken in 1997 at Thanksgiving time. I had just recently gotten him from a girl I went to school with. He was about two months old in this photograph. Gus is a Burmese Python and he got to be, well, let's just say, alot bigger than that.

gus, almost two years old This was taken in May or June of 1999. So that would make him not quite two yet. In this picture I believe that he was about 5 feet long.
Here's my boy playing in the bath tub. Actually, I was trying to give him a bath, but he likes to climb out of the water and sit on the edge of the tub. I took this picture May 22, 2000 and I measured him that day too, he was just under 9 feet.

gus playing on the floor

Gus just kicking it on the floor in the living room. In front of him is a meter stick...or a 3 foot stick : ) I put it there just for a comparison. He's a big boy now!!! This picture was taken the same day at the bath tub one.

This is Gus even bigger yet. Here he's just over 10 feet and weights about 35 pounds. He is almost six years old now. It's a semi family portrait that was taken at the beginning of May in 2003.
Another picture taken the same day, just a bit closer view.

In Loving Memory of Gus....

Gus just passed away on April 19, 2004. He was 6 and a half years old. He had been sick for quite some time and we visited the vets here in Dodge a few times but ultimately they didn't really know what was wrong and suggested we go to Manhattan so someone at the K-State facility could take a look. The vets called up there to see what all they might do and when we could get in. They were booked until Thursday and Gus died the Monday before that. So we never made it there.

He will be greatly missed!!!
