When we're born, the soul we're given
splits apart and half of it
is given to someone else.
So all our lives we're looking
for the person with
the other half of our soul.
And if we're lucky enough
to ever find that person,
our soul says, "At last.I can rest.
I have found my missing half."
Then it is said, we have found
our soul mate.And we are
happy and at peace.

What Is a Sweetheart

A sweetheart is the someone
you could write a book about,
The one you love to be with
and you hate to be without.
A sweetheart is a knowing look-
A hand within your own-

when you pick up the phone.
A sweetheart understands your moods
and laughs at things you say
Or sees you when you're at your worst
but loves you anyway.
