Game Play
There are three types of games.
1. Open games. Mix of role and non role playing
2. House games. Role playing Rules enforced.
3. Clan games. No role playing.
You can play any one of the games, but are expected to follow the basic
rules of that game. Each house also has their own additional rules (or lack of).
There are 2 types of characters. Normal and Pure.
Normal characters accept items from other characters no
matter what it is. It is generally acceptable to receive gifts
from other characters within 5 levels of your own.
Pure characters will only use things found in the game they are playing.
If they are below level 26 they generally will notaccept exilers.
So if you offer someone a gift and they refusesighting that the
character they are playing is "Pure", take no offence.
Shrines, Pools, Cauldrons.
Pools and Cauldrons are never used when playing with others. Accidents
will happen so be careful.
Shrines are only used if you know what
it does and it does notharm other players. If you don't know, ask.
Town level.
Items in town square are open for anyone to take. Please ask first.
Items outside of the town square belong to someone. Do not take!
While playing with others, it is common to put all the loot in the
town square. The loot is sold at the end of the session and the money
is divided. Loot may be sold before the end, whenagreed upon by others.
(Example: a game of all mages may want to sell every thing and keep
money near Gris and Adria to repair items and buy books. A person may
need gold and the others say it is ok to sell stuff.)
Division of items. Usually each class gets first choice of their item
types. Examples, swords - Warriors, bows - Rogues, staffsand books - mages.
A common way to hand out magic books is to give it to the person with
the lowest stat on the spell.
Members of the Guild are expected to only play guild games. No public games.
That means that a guild character never sets foot outside of a passworded
game, and never teams up with with non guild characters.
The Royal Court.
