If you are fortunate enough to have your page hosted where affiliate programs are permitted, you're in for a treat! Now you can earn $25 - 100 per month to help cover the cost of your access account and software. Your success will depend on the content of your page, the number of visitors you attract regularly, plus the selection of sponsors you've decided to align yourself with. Try to select sponsors that offer products or services that compliment your page content. Your viewers came to review your particular content, they are not going to buy a car online from a page that presents information on pets! Selecting sponsors that compliment your page content makes promoting their services easier and maintains your content theme. Investigate each sponsor's offer before getting involved, if you find something that would deter you from using their service, so will your viewers - this does not generate revenues. You are better off taking 2 cents per hit where the product or service will generate a great deal of traffic, over one that offers $5 per lead if the offer is unappealling. Placement of banners and icons on your page should look natural and professional, but these don't generate as much traffic as including a text link within your descriptive content. One of my pages generates 2:1 hits on it's text links, simply because they are included in my presentation and I have expanded on the information to encourage use of the product or service. WARNING! - Don't get carried away with too many sponsors, nor attempt to create a page entirely from affiliate sponsors... the page will look too much like a commercial portal and will not generate interest or return visits. Use affiliate sponsors combined with your own original content only! |
