ICS looks the best when you leave the ICS CHM window at it's current size. (1024 768)
Move the ICS folder with all it's files inside to a drive of your choice.
You can put an ICS.CHM shortcut on your desktop or your start button. You can also double click on it from WINDOWS
EXPLORER or drag it to a PROGRAM MANAGER GROUP.
To uninstall simply remove the ICS folder and any shortcuts
you created.
Move the ICS folder with all it's files inside to a drive of your choice. The first time you run ICS.HLP it will create a new file called ICS.GID, this is normal all WINDOWS 95 help files create a GID file. Make sure the ICS.HLP & ICS.CNT files stay in the same folder. You can put an ICS.HLP shortcut on your desktop or your start button. You can also double click on it from WINDOWS EXPLORER or drag it to a PROGRAM MANAGER GROUP. To uninstall simply remove the ICS folder and any shortcuts you created.
When you run ICS it stays at a pre-fixed size optimized for 1024 by 768 resolution but you
can run ICS maximized or drag a corner to a size of your choice. If you go on line with ICS you should maximize it. If you jump to a graphic or other link in ICS, you can use the toolbar back and forward buttons to get back to the topic you were at.
When you run ICS it stays on top by default but you can change that from the ICS menubar under options, you can also use the system default colours.

Before you make any changes to the registry always back up your SYSTEM.DAT & USER.DAT files to a safe folder, that way if you make a serious mistake in the registry even if windows won't run you can start your PC with the start up disk that you must have and then in dos overwrite your SYSTEM.DAT & USER.DAT files with the back ups that you made. You must be able to know how to make start up disks and back up files before fooling with the registry. see WINDOWS main help if you don't.
Always write down the original default values before making any changes to the registry keys, that way if you are not happy with a change you can go back to the old values without running any back up files. Try not to write and delete to many keys in the registry because your registry will become fragmented. You should also have the registry editor (regedit.exe) somewhere handy.
Remember ICS does not make any changes in your system, you do.

If you like this program and would like custom topics included I will be glad to put them in for you including a custom welcome window and custom sounds and bit maps. You make the bitmaps and the sounds with the topic info and I will put them in. ICS CUSTOM is supported.
$5 a topic, minimum four topics, sound or bitmap counts as a topic and the topic must fit in the topic window without scrolling. The more topics, the less the price plus you get all the topics from this ICS file.
