Herbert J. Cole, a Rockland Maine native, completed his studies in Photography and Cinema at The Ohio State University. He enjoyed documenting people in their natural surroundings and pursued a life-long study of photography.

He returned to New England and has spent nearly two decades as a photographer in that area. Herbert photographs many local and visiting couples that marry along the beautiful coast of Maine. He is well known throughout the mid-coast community and shares his enthusiasm for the arts as a photography teacher in area schools.

Herbert established ATTIC IMAGES Photography in 1996 and has expanded his freelance photography practice to include reunions, events, location portraiture, and magazine photo shoots. He has a great deal of knowledge and expertise in both color and B&W photography, and uses a variety of formats to complete his work. Herbert enjoys combining his extensive technical background in photography with his artistic abilities to create unique images.
