Overalls

I like overalls!!! I especially like Winnie the Pooh overalls and believe that this one garment can in both its short and long form, convey the playfulness and essential youth that is so characteristic of a little girl.

For this page, I am going to try something a little different. The Disney folks have produced a catalog, available at www.disneystore.com, in which they show a number of styles, both in childrens and adults sizes. I will show on this page how it is not the size, but the style of the garment which conveys youthfulness. By the way, I wholeheartedly endorse the clothing products of the Disney Store. They are well made, true to size and very durable.

	A Winnie-the-Pooh (named Pooh Peek by Disney) shortall in children's sizes. $30 + $14 for the shirt. A similar version is offered with embroidered Tigger.		The identical shortall in adult sizes, with Pooh embroidered t-shirt to complete the outfit. $42 + $26 for the shirt.
	Longer version, overalls, both comfortable and yet stylish. This pair is in girl's sizes.		Same goes here as well... Overalls are the perfect thing to wear when you want to be a girl in public without being very overt. A pair of white anklets with the lace ruffle trim peeking out would be the perfect accompanying touch to these Pooh Peek overalls. $48.
	For summer, DisneyStore has produced these darling embroidered twill shortalls for Pooh, Tigger & Eeyore.		And a matching set for the "adult-sized" kids... Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful...
	A clearer picture, just for comparison. Available on-line for $30.		Isn't this just darling? The perfect thing to wear to camp in the Poconos... $48 for Eeyore, Tigger or Pooh.
	Ariel shortalls, considered too "childish" for adults are offered in a bright pink. Why does Disney offer these in adult sizes? $28.		Here is an oversized twill shortall with applique and lace trimmed legs. Cute as a button, from Storybook Heirlooms. $45.
	Storybook Heirlooms (no website yet) added this "to die for" pink satin overall set in both kid's and adult sizes, $56-79. Order by phone at 800.825.6565. Catalog available on request.		Even Victoria's Secret has included an example of this most comfortable item of clothing in their catalog. Alas, VS preserves the hour-glass form, even in this more casual style -- aaaccckkk!!! It didn't fit. $44.
	Another pair of overalls of different manufacture conveys the same feeling of comfort and carefreeness. 	An added treat by Disney. This jumper should be included on the Jumpers page, but since it is made in both kid's and adult sizes, viewers might enjoy both sizes displayed here. $26.		The interesting thing I saw in the Disney catalog is that the primary difference between the adult and girl models (other than body shape) was the style of their hair with the adults wearing more "mature" styles. $38.
	Not to be outdone, Warner Brothers has produced this kid's and adult's sized overalls in black velvet. $38-58, catalog by phone, 800.223.6524.		Sylvester and Tweety grace the kid's size, while Tweety in a silver satin is emblazoned on the adult's version. This is one of the most comfortable garments I have ever bought.
