No time? Do you have to scramble out of bed in the morning just
to give your lashes one quick swipe of mascara and then run out to the school
bus? Well... here's a plan for you! Get your makeup finished
in 10 minutes flat (and it'll even look good too!!).
Ace the Face (4 minutes!)
The best base to swipe on on those hurried mornings is a
two in one foundation. (foundation and powder in one) I personally
have had a better experience with the powdered version rather than the cream
version. The powder version seems easier to blend and hide mistakes.
The trick I use to keep my powdery base from looking too, well, powdery,
is to apply a thin layer of oil-free moisturizer to the face before applying
the foundation. For extra colour, brush on some neutral blush on the
apples of your cheeks.
Eyes Surprise (4 minutes too!)
Stroke a neutral shadow from the lid to the crease on each
eye. If your brows are sparse, fill them in with light strokes of an
eyeliner that matches your natural brow colour the most. To make my
eyes look pretty and awake, I like to line my entire eye with a brown pencil.
I have dark hair and eyes, so I only suggest this for other girls that
have the same colouring as me. I think the best trick to making your
eyes really pop, is to curl them with an eyelash curler. Then apply
mascara. (Make sure you roll the applicator in paper towel first since
this will take off excess globs.)
Luscious Lips (Only 2 minutes!!)
All you have to do to get totally kissable lips is to apply
either a sheer lipstick all over, or a shiny, barely noticable gloss.
That's it!!
Pick Your Best Feature and Accentuate
It!
How to accentuate your best features and minimize your worst...
Face
-
Narrow a wide nose by applying a slightly darker foundation to the sides.
Shorten a long nose by applying a darker foundation to the base.
-
Narrow a wide forehead by applying a slightly darker foundation to the
sides.
-
Hide red spots or acne by using a green corrector concealer.
Cheeks
-
Make cheekbones more prominent by applying blush to the cheekbones.
-
Look healthier by applying blush to the apples of the cheeks.
Eyes
-
To make your eyes appear larger, don't line your eyes, shade the entire
lid with a soft colour, and shape your brows.
-
If you want to bring deep set eyes foreward, use a light eyeshadow on
your lid.
-
For wide-set eyes apply a darker shadow to the inner corner.
-
For close-set eyes apply a darker shadow to the outer corner.
-
Make eyes appear larger by curling lashes.
Lips
-
Make your lips appear fuller by lining them slightly out of your natural
lipline.
-
Make your lips apper thinner by lining them slightly inside your natural
lipline.
-
To make your lips look kissably full, put a gold dot of lipstick in the
center of your bottom lip and blend.
