You have probably seen this shirt in one of my earlier projects. Now this shirt was boring with only the Japanese lettering embroidered on each side of the front. In looking for something to put Vikings' Geisha on, I decided to use the back of this shirt. | |
I was able to resize the Geisha slightly in Customizing to fit her in one hooping for the Designer 1. First I cut a circle, using a round bowl for a guide, out of 100% cotton and placed it in center back. I cut the print from fabric left over from my Oriental Fan Vest and placed it over the circle. These pieces were put down with "Wonder Under" and satin stitched on the edges. I mirror-imaged the Geisha to keep her black hair off the black fabric, and this is the result. It is a beautiful design and sure perked up my boring shirt. |
