Two Questions

Why? Jesus in John’s Gospel Chapter 16 v 2 said "they will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me".

How long? This question is asked when the fifth seal is opened (Revelations Chapter 6 v 9). "I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice ‘How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?’ Then each of them was given a white robe and they were told to wait a little longer until the number of their fellow-servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed".

Two questions remain to be answered.
