Nicholas Gaudry settled in Quebec City and in 1653 he married
Agnes Morin. She was sister to the first Canadian nun, Marie Morin, Annaliste at the Hotel-Dieu in Montreal. Their brother, Germain Morin, was the first Canadian priest to be ordained in Quebec.

Nicolas' young brother, Jacques Gaudry, married Anne Poiriet dit Bellepoire, of Quebec.
Appeared in their midst a very desirable person: Ignace, a man of apparent great magnetism and wellness, who would become husband to the widowed wives of Nicolas and Jacques Gaudry: yes, when those two Gaudry ladies would become widows, they would successively marry Ignace Bonhomme dit Beaupre: Agnes Morin married him, and twenty years later her sister-in-law Anne Poirier married him.
Ignace Bonhomme, whose parents came from Fecamp (a region renowned for it's Legend of the Holy Grail) in the Caux region of Normandy, in France, was the son of Guillaume, mentioned in the Minutes of the Conseil Souverain of January 14 1665: "Nicholas Marsolet de St-Aignan qui avait acquis la maison de Guillaume Bonhomme, la cede au Conseil Souverain pour y loger l'Executeur des Hautes Oeuvres." (in this instance: Mathieu Damours)
Jacques Gaudry, son of Jacques and Marie-Anne Poiriet,
was baptized January 13 1679 and was living in Varennes, Quebec, was married July 3rd 1703 to Marie Gaultier-Landreville, daughter of Mathurin Gaultier of Montreal.
Their first four children were burnt in their home on January 21 1709 and they re-started their family. Madeleine Gaudry de la Bourbonniere, born in 1711, came from this scarred household.
Marie-Madeleine Gaudry, baptized May 31 1711, was married to
Joseph Lemire-Marsolet,
from Trois-Rivieres, on November 4th 1727.
Joseph and Madeleine had twelve (12) children. Three of their sons, Louis, Joseph and Joachim would marry three Ridechot sisters, Marie-Elisabeth (Louis), Marie-Claire (Joseph) and Marie-Anne (Joachim)
Joseph and Madeleine's first son and second child LOUIS click! was married twice.
