THIS IS
" THE POTTERS CLAY "
The potter of this assembling of clay is
I, Alvin Godfrey because I want our family posterity
to be able to go to records of historical data and
say this is my family tree. These are the great
people and I am a descendent from this
linage.( which I have researched thus far).
John A. Godfrey who was my paternal grandfather, who was born in April 1840 (and I am told that he came from Haiti, and he married in 1898 Azalee R.Jenkins who was my paternal
grandmother, who was born in December 1877, she was
born in Dorchester(dorchester county) South Carolina. Azalee Jenkin's father (my great grandfather) was Richard Jenkins, born in SC, July 1855 and married Christina Jenkins (circa) 1876, and to this union was born Azalee Jenkins, then Norman Jenkins, who was born February 1887, then Frances Jenkins was born June 1891, then Isabell Jenkins was born August 1895. The potter procreated the vessel of
Azalee so that the DNA of this linage would flow
through generations which is the life force of
eternal existance.
From the vessel of creation Robert George Brown my grandfather, whose father (my great grandfather) was Thomas F. Brown and (my great grandmother) who was Isabella Percy and they were born in BWI, to this union was also born Zilla (Brown) Holmes and Chester Buckson Brown, thus came the life giving force of my maternal creation, and he was joined in holy wedlock to Minnie Craig, my maternal grandmother on December 25, 1910, who was
born in Prince Edward county, Farmville, Virginia, in November 1884. Her father (my great grandfather) was William Craig, born January 1850 in Virginia, he married Lizzie Beth Evans in (circa) 1870, who was born in January 1852 and to this union was born William Craig Jr., born May 1871 in Farmville, Virginia, listed in the 1900 census, twins were born,
namely Janie Craig and James Craig, born in May 1882,
Then Minnie was born in November 1884.From the vessel of procreation
Minnie Craig came the life force of my
procreation.
Let me interject here some of the avenues
which I have traveled, the positive and negative
elements which permeated my physical mental and
spiritual being in order for me to arrive at the
place I am today.
You see my father and mother were both
chronic alcholics and it stands to reason that
through genetics I had alchol in my bloodstream when
I was born an I remember when I was youg, the pain I
suffered, which I now believe were alcoholic
withdrawal. Therefore it caused me to be a drug
infected baby and as I grew older I began to crave
alcohol and I am blessed that I did not get caught up
in the hard drug crave.
You have heard the expression,"Prayer
changes things", well I am a witness that this is
true because through prayer and supplication, through
love and friendship, I got in touch with the spirit within for I was guided by a prophet and prophecy, this opened up the faculty of Grand Father Abraham, the ancient of days which is the truth of Almighty God within me.
The God conscousness within me was revealed to me and I am now in touch with the center of my silence.
I don't want you to think that I am blaming
my parents for a lot of my problems, for after I
reflect on the past, I must ask myself the question,
what was their childhood and young adult life, like
for them? Why were they alcoholics? Who loved them?
Who gave them a plan to live by?
Take my father---with the ability he had to
build a car from disgarded parts piece by piece and
drive it from Newark, NJ to Summerville, SC, I feel
was quite a talent, a gift from God. So what went
wrong? People don't take time to understand wat
itdoes to the Psyhic of a child to be overpowered by
negative thought after ngative thought and the type
of impression that it leaves embeded in your mind,
plus te physical dis-ease it causes the body
toencunter and have to fight against. Take it from
me, it presents you with the fight of your life to
survive and ponder the thought time and time again,
What will I become? You must understand that even
though we are born children of God, we must develope
into a cosmic conscious being before our transition
into eternal existance. Thus I learned that adults
must train up a child in the way that it should go
because training is the stepping stones of
development.
