My niece, Penny, and I began researching our family heritage two years ago. We have hit some "brick walls" and have managed to find connections to our lineage, through a lot of hard work, love, and prayer!

I dedicate this page to the hard work that my sister Carol, my niece Penny, and myself have done.

The Ross family line includes these surnames: Skinner, Tyler, Spoonemore, Jones, Herndon, Newsom, Hudspeth, Slay, Craig, Bellah, Brothers, Chappell, Cole, Comb, Campbell, Bolton, Darby, England, Hasty, as well as branches of our family.

Beginning with Andrew D. Ross: Our "Brick Wall" A.D. (Andrew D.) Ross [b. 1814] lived in Marengo Co., Ala. and migrated to Hunt Co., Texas in Feb. 1870. A.D. was married to Delia (Delila) Jones. They had 8 children:
