Most people are
fortunate enough to have one very special friend.
Someone who they
can turn to in good times and bad.
Someone who shares
their happiness and joy.
Someone who eases
their worries and pain.
Someone who listens
to their hopes and dreams.
Someone who comforts
them in times of grief.
Someone who understands.
Someone who cares
and supports them when all else fails.
Someone who they
can trust completely.
Someone who is
always there for them.
For a great many
years, I've been blessed with two such special friends.
To Sue and Tom,
thank you both for the many, many years of friendship
You have both
meant so much to me for so very long.
You've both given
me so much that I could never repay :- so many memories,
both happy and
sad - your faith, your trust, your concern and your love.
This page would
not be complete without mentioning Danny who, in such a short time, has
reminded me of so much that I was in danger of forgetting. His obvious
love for his family and of being with them has reminded me that the many
joys of parenthood should never be lost in the burden of responsibility.
For that alone, I owe him a great debt which can never be repaid.
His generosity has reminded me of how much I have to be grateful for. I
met Danny during the worst time of my life - his friendship, wisdom, kindness,
and attitude to life helped me through - I can only thank God for sending
him at that time.
To Danny, thanks
for all the well-timed reminders,
for restoring
my faith and giving me back the hope that I'd lost,
for being there
when I needed help,
and thanks for
listening too.
To Sue, Tom and
Danny, my special friends, I wish you
all Peace, Happiness and Health for I believe
they are the greatest gifts of all.
