Grover Galen James, 50, of Covington, died at 5 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. He was a truck driver and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary James; sons, Frank Key of Florence, Travis James and Tyler James, both of Covington; daughters, Ginger James, Gwendolyn James and Amanda James, all of Covington; his mother, Shirley James of Burlington; brothers, Paul Gayhland James of Berry, Glennard James and Gerald James, both of Burlington, and Floyd Gregory James of Florence; sisters, Ginger Day James of Burlington and Gwendolyn Wester; and one grandchild. Services will be at noon Wednesday at Catchen Funeral Home, Elsmere. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to James Children Fund, in care of Huntington Bank, 2522 Burlington Pike, Burlington, Ky. 41005.

Archie D. Britton, 58, died Monday June 2 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood. He worked for Cincinnati Mine Machinery, owned T & A’s Tackle and Trawler Motor Service, Independence. Survivors include his wife, Martha Works Britton; daughters, Sharon Baker and Valarie Saylor; brothers, Thomas and Butch Britton; sisters, Gayle Barnes, Delores Henegar and Lucille Sullivan; and five grandchildren. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday June 5 at Carnes Cemetery in Peach Grove. Peoples Funeral Home, Butler, is handling arrangements. Memorials: Archie Britton Memorial Fund, c/o any Huntington Bank.
