Dog Grooming - Before and After

Ever since I got my Standard Poodles, I had to learn real quickly how to groom dogs!
I watched several groomers and even volunteered my time with a groomer just so I could
learn how it's done. I've been grooming my own dogs now for several years and have
offered my services to my friends' dogs. Here are some of my "clients" who have put
their trust in me and are very satisfied!
For those of you who are considering grooming your own dogs, there are lots of videos on You Tube and
many articles on the internet. Just make sure you have the proper equipment (good clippers, sharp blades, and
very good scissors). Use the correct blade for the correct cut.
Another reason I started grooming my dogs is, after watching professional groomers groom my dogs
and others, I was appalled at the way they were treated. This is not to say all groomers mistreat dogs, but
I guarantee a large percentage of them are not very nice to your dogs. I have seen them slapped, yelled at,
forced to lay down, bathed in cold water, and thrown in a cage with a blow dryer on them for far longer
than is necessary. If your dog acts strange or out of the ordinary after taking him/her to a groomer,
I would seriously consider finding another groomer or doing it yourself. For a lot of groomers, it's a "job" to them,
and they do not want to take their time to comfort the dog or treat him with kindness. I am telling you this
because I have seen it first hand at several groomers in my area.
I will post more pictures as I get them.
