Our prayers go out to the family of Steve Irwin, the "Crocodile Hunter".
Steve will always be remembered for his love and compassion to animals.
The world has lost a special person.
9/4/06
All animal trainers should strive to be as kind to animals as Steve was. Unfortunately, there are those who are cruel and mistreat animals for monetary gain and notoriety.
You know who you are.

HELP STOP PUPPY MILLS !! Each year thousands and thousands of puppies are bred under deplorable conditions by unscrupulous breeders and sold to pet stores. Every puppy in a pet store has come from a puppy mill somewhere in the United States. Every puppy purchased in a pet store at exorbitant prices makes room for more puppies to be bred under these conditions. Don't support stores that sell puppies. Don't purchase puppies from ads in the newspapers. Those breeding conditions are often only a step up from puppy mills. Encourage your friends and family to look for a dog or puppy in a shelter or rescue organization. You can find a shelter or rescue group anywhere in the United States by going to www.petfinder.org or www.pets911.com Another site where you can help (not for the faint of heart).

I have too many e-mails to read!"

I told my sister I was going to put her picture on my web page -
I can't wait until she sees which one I chose!
Oh, by the way, Fran is my twin sister, aka "Ayzha" - "Ayzha's Attic".

A Bit About Barb

My daughter, Dawn, has given me the inspiration to create a home page which I dedicate with love to her beautiful memory. Family and friends were Dawn's life - and I am proud to share a small part of Dawn's life with her children, Kody and Tawny Sky, and with her friends and family.
"We shall all meet again in the DAWN of
a new tomorrow."
I Love you..Mom

A poem, written by me, called "Her Name Is Dawn", reflects the pain of losing a child.

Happy Birthday, Dawn
A beautiful poem for my daughter, Dawn, on her 31st birthday -
her second birthday in Heaven, and for all parents who have lost a child.

Dawn visits her friend, Chris, in The Dream.
Thank you so much for sharing this with me, Chris.

If you have a friend who has lost a child,
please take time to read "So, You Want to Understand?"
It is a very frank and down-to-earth poem
that will help you understand what your friend needs
after the death of her child.

Saying Goodbye is not easy. Dawn's memorial service.

All pictures (either taken by me or given to me by my daughter) and poems on this site are my property (unless otherwise noted) and I do not give permission for anyone to take or use all or part of any picture or poem.

I have a new website where I rate products. Take a look!

A hundred years from now, it will not matter the sort of house I lived in, what my bank account was, or the car I drove .... but the world may be different, because I was important in the life of the animals and the creatures on this earth." ~Author Unknown

Please do not support pet shops that sell puppies!
Most likely they came from backyard breeders or puppy mills, they are overpriced and in questionable health. Pet shops that sell puppies do so not to "improve the breed", but to make a quick buck. They are usually cramped in cages that are too small or too crowded, and they are handled by hundreds of people on a daily basis, which is not good for the puppy's health. Tell your pet shop you will not shop there if they continue to sell puppies! Leave the breeding and selling to reputable breeders!

To my grandchildren, Kody, Tawny,
Connor, Skylar, and Quinn
I love you all very much.
To Connor, Skylar, and Quinn - you all are growing up to be such beautiful children and I am so proud of you.
To Kody and Tawny - I know your mom is looking down on you from Heaven and keeping you safe.
She loved you both very much.
