Waldo loved the Obedience ring. What a clown! Everyone was there to see HIM (or at least this is what would go through his mind). But his real love was field work. We had to retire Waldo at a young age, due to a enlarged heart and damaged lungs. But he is still a clown at home, and he is still an active Therapy Dog.

Cody is still active in Obedience. After a bout with Ehrlicia last year, and Lyme this year, he has bounced back. He has started Agility Training, and acts like a pup on the course. Cody is also a active Therapy Dog.

"Judge came into our lives in January 1988 at the age of 8 months. We went to the airport to pick him up and it took us some time to locate him. After a while, airport workers carried his travel kennel into the terminal where we were waiting, chanting "Here Come Da Judge" (his name was on the label attached to the kennel). And so, "da Judge" became a part of the Beeler family and forever changed our lives. Judge is "golden" to the bone. He is definitely "daddy's boy". My husband, Jim, also liked dogs, but wasn't really a "dog person" until Judge arrived on the scene. The result?! Our "golden family" now totals "five", thanks to Judge. Judge and I started obedience training when he was a year old. By the time he was two, he knew his stuff but didn't seem to really have the drive for competition obedience, so we didn't pursue his obedience career. In 1995 we relocated from New Jersey to North Carolina, and on a whim, I entered him in an obedience match. Well, guess what! After 7 years of not being obedience trained, he got a qualifying score. So I thought, he can really do this! I was encouraged and brought him out of retirement. I'm proud to tell you that at the tender age of 9 and 1/2 Judge obtained his CD title. He's now enjoying retirement again. He gets dearer and dearer to us every day...ya gotta love those golden white faces. We wish him a long and healthy life!"

"Toby will be 12 this May. He was a puppy from hell but turned into the most wonderful dog. He came from a back-yard-breeder and we now know, from learning from G@H, that we are very very lucky. Toby is a true Golden. He has the true Golden temperament and everyone he meets just falls in love with him. I worked hard training him in basic obedience when he was around a year old. Unfortunately, I had to take him twice because he was the class clown. We love him so much :))) In August of '96 he had his spleen removed. The doctor said 95% of spleen removals are due to cancer. Happily for us, Toby fell into the lucky 5% :))) "

... and take time to stop and smell the flowers!

Nancy tells us: "Mac was whelped on an apple farm, hence the name. I've been there for him from the first moment he was born. My mother's dog Frosty (Topbrass Frost in September) whelped 8 other pups that day. I chose Mac from a litter of 9. I believe I made the right choice. Mac is a typical Golden - trusting and loyal, gentle and kind. He has led a privileged dog life. Mac enjoys going for walks, riding anywhere in the car, and his woobies. This picture was taken at the 1st Annual G@H Midwest Get-Together. You can see other pictures of the G@H MGT on the
Golden Retrievers in Cyberspace picture page."

"My husband and I purchased Lucy (appropriately named, even before we knew she was going to be a redhead), before we knew any better, from a BYB. We brought her home to stay on Thanksgiving day. We did not have children at the time so Lucy became my baby. She was such a good girl from the very start. She is a very typical golden in that she loves to play ball, go swimming,"fish" for rocks in the creek, be with her people and invites pets from anyone who is around her. Living in a house full of males, both two-legged and four-legged, she is my girl. Thankfully, she has been in good health all her life in spite of her breeding. She is very precious to me and is a treasured member of our family."
