A few tidbits about Bledsoe County, Tennessee. In 1801 Roane County which contained most of Bledsoe was created. In 1805, the Cherokee Nation surrenders claims to the area and in 1807, Bledsoe County was established. To learn more about Bledsoe County go to: http://www.tngenweb.org/bledsoe/
