Also, re the Cordy Cook who died in 1854 was married to Mary Ann Hooper, daughter of Ennis Hooper and Elizabeth Wood Hooper of Caldwell. Ennis and Elizabeth were married in 1811 in Caldwell. Mary Ann was born in 1819. Mary Ann and Cordy Cook and family are listed as follows in the 1850 Federal Census Caldwell Co:
Next farm on one side was James Cook, 84 M W Farmer 650 NC and a Lourainey Brown 58, F W NC.
On the other side of the Cordy Cook family was the Pickering family. Mary Ann Hooper's sister married a Pickering in the 1850's or 1860's. (note: http://www.starbase21.com/kybiog/caldwell/pickering.rr.txt)
There was also a James L. Cordy 14 W M KY living nearby with a West family.
Lynda Hyman is descended from Mary Ann Hooper's brother who married into the Pool-Brown family.
Mary Ann "Polly" Hooper Cook remarried after Cordy's death to a James Fletcher and had more children. They were living in the Pollard's Tanyard area of Caldwell in 1860.
