CORDIE THOMAS RUSHING (MARY JANE3 COOK, THOMAS S.2, THOMAS1) was born September 24, 1896 in Stewart Co. TN, and died November 24, 1954 in Barnett Cemetery. He married FANNIE LOU GROGAN 1924, daughter of W. GROGAN and UDEAN SHELTON.

Notes for CORDIE THOMAS RUSHING: Cordie Thomas Rushing was an auto mechanic in Murray for a number of years. He later became the Plymouth-DeSoto dealer in Murray, which he sold after several years and then opened an auto parts store on the west side of Murray's court square. He later opened a store on East Main in the present location of Thurman Furniture. During these years he also served several terms on the Murray City Council and at the time of his death was serving as Murray's City Judge. Both he and his wife are burried at Barnett Cemetery.
