RESEARCHER REQUESTS:
Do any of these name sound familiar. Stephen/Steve/Steven W. Cook born ca 1853 he married a Margaret(te) Tate. They had the following children:
Viola Ree, | |
Nannie M, | |
William Harvey, | |
Robert Lee, | |
Martin D | |
James W. |
All the children were born between 1881 and 1899. They were in the Grayson County, KY sometime in the early 1890's. This Steve is not in the 1870's Grayson County Census. I have been unable to locate him anywhere before 1880. Supposedly he was born in KY. Please reply directly to Janice: htjc@bellsouth.net

Here are some death certificates of Cooks that lived in the Grayson Co,
KY area. If anyone would like a copy, just let Janice know. Also
Stephen is in the 1870 Grayson Co census under William B Cook. He just
isn't in the 1860.
