Ruebin Cook Information
Let's face it, there
are some names that seem to be abundant in the Cook family .. Ruebin is
one of them. So for fun - here are some tidbits about various people
named Ruebin Cook
Will of John Cook written
3 March 1799 Duplin Co.,N.C.--has named a son Reubin.
Duplin Co.,N.C. deeds
10 Feb.1797 John Cook , to son Reubin Cook of Marlsborough S.C
Deeds of Northhampton
co.,N.C.--3 June 1756 John Cook to his son Reubin Cook
Orange Co., N.C. 1756
Reubin Cook Witness to a deed
One Reubin Cook shows up
in Christian Co.,Ky. tax list in 1800.
REUBEN COOK of Christian
& Caldwell Co.'s, KY were where he and his wife EDITH
MITCHELL lived. I always felt that
WILLIAM MITCHELL was related to Edith. As some of Reuben & Edith's
children were married in Bertie Co., NC. The family went to SC for
awhile and Reuben turns up in Christian Co., KY by the 1800 census.
As Graves came out of Hickman & Hickman came out of Christian &
Caldwell, Carla believes that Edith was related to the Mitchell's in Graves
& Caldwell.
