USGENWEB site: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kytodd/index.htm On April 1, 1820, Todd officially became the sixty-fourth county of Kentucky.  The name was to honor Col. John Todd, who fell in the Battle of Blue Lick. Nestled between its parent counties of Christian and Logan, Todd County is 30 miles long, 12 miles wide, with a total area of 367 square miles. The town of Elkton was designated  as the County Seat.
