Zed(as he was called) was a farmer and then a policeman in the
township of Long Pine. Long Pine being a railroad stop he patroled
the trains when they were in. He found a transient on a boxcar and
a fight started and Zed had his finger bitten off in the fight. In
his pictures he looks like quite a tough person!
