Surname: FERGUSON and JONES My great grandfather Pleasant Ferguson was born in Nashville, TN in 1819 He married Emily Jones, born 12 April 1824, Kentucky, in 1842, Marshall County Indiana. One of their children, Elzina Ferguson, my grandmother, was born 14 April 1853, Indiana. Pleasant's father was William. Place and date of birth are not known. His first wife died two weeks after Pleasant was born. He married Thresa, his second wife and had 8 children. Pleasant was raised by Andrew his uncle. He left Nashville when he was 20 years old. I am seeking information on Pleasant's father William. Origin, place and date of birth and death would be most helpful. My file contains considerable information and pictures of this branch of the Ferguson family if it would be of interest. Your reply would be most appreciated. Eugene F. Peterson epeterson@icdc.com |
