Surnames: FERGUSON, POTTER and HAUGHTON I am searching for info on a James FERGUSON who was married to Elizabeth and had children George and Rebecca. James and Elizabeth were in Scio, Washtenaw County, Michigan from at least 1839 until 1844. They then went to Monroe County, MIchigan where they stayed until 1847. hey then turn up in Washington Twp., Lucas County, Ohio. Based on census records, James was born around 1811 and may have been James Jr. He was born in New Hampshire and was a physician. His wife Elizabeth is the head of household in 1860 so I'm guessing he died between 1850 and 1860. His daughter Rebecca married John POTTER. They had children Ray and Betsey. James' son George married Ruth HAUGHTON. They had children Georgia, Keren, Ruth, Hiram, Willis and Haughton. I would like to find more about James and Elizabeth. Thanks for any help you can give.
