Surnames: FERGUSON, CROWELY and PORTER Great site! I'm searching out my family tree on my mother's side. Very little information was past down. My grandfather was William FERGUSON, he married Mary CROWELY. He and his brother (name unknown) immigrated from Ireland ( dates unknown)and settled in I believe Red River Saskchewan. The farm failed and the brothers parted ways and William moved to Dryden On and became a lumberjack. He and Mary had one child a daughter, my mother Elise May FERGUSON - birhdate l922 died 1989. Due to some unknown circumstance, suspected a fire that would have destroyed their cabin and it is here there is lost information on my grandmother Mary. Whatever occurred my grandmother was unable to care for my mother and Due to this unknown circumstance my mother at age 3 was taken in by elderly aunt and uncle, Anne PORTER and (unknown uncle's first name) who lived in Toronto On.and raised her.
