#2 February 28, 1999 Surname: FERGUSON My great grandfather ws John Harvey FERGUSON. My earliest knowledge was in Arkansas. He had fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War. My great grandmother was his 4th wife, and I know everything this side of that marriage. I know that all 4 of his wives were named either Martha or Margaret. He is buried at Ponder, Denton Co., TX What I don't have is the origin of his name. I have been told that it is Irish. Do you have any information on the background of this family. NRidge1@aol.com

#3 July 9, 2000 Surname: FERGUSON, DUNCAN, WILLIAMS and ALGOODS My Name is Linda Ferguson DUNCAN, and I am looking for infomation on Robert Andrew FERGUSON, born in AL, father Fletcher FERGUSON. Robert A. married Elizabeth WILLIAMS(GA), her father was Andy WILLIAMS. They divorced after 1904, which was when my father Raymond FERGUSON was born, he married again and moved to TX. This is all I know about Fletcher or Robert A. Ferguson. I have uncles and aunts but they are all gone, and have lost contact with my Uncle Tom's family in TX. Still have contact with Aunt Pearl Ferguson ALGOODS's family. Need contract with other FERGUSON's who may have the answers to my questions. Linda Duncan
