Committee Responsibilities

Membership Growth and Education

Responsibilities: The committee shall: (a) devise ways and means of maintaining an adequate membership of such standards as are provided in the bylaws, (b) consider all proposals for membership, and submit recommendations to the BOD, (c) devise effective plans for orientation and induction of new members and the utilization of members, (d) promote regular attendance at meetings.

Club Meetings

Responsibilities: The committee shall provide for the most effective club meeting possible for each week of the year. Areas of responsibility involved include the club meeting program, house reception, fellowship and interclub relations, as well as other areas which the committee may deem appropriate.

Youth Services / Young Children Priorty One

Responsibilities: The committee shall: (a) devise and suggest methods and means to assist boys and girls to adjust themselves to their enviroment and become adapted to the social, economic, and moral demands which they may encounter, (b) develop ways and means of assisting in the guidance of youth in the selection of proper and suitable vocations.

Community Services One

Responsibilities: The committee shall: (a) study, devise, and suggest methods and means where by the club can render effective community service, (b) Include agriculture, conservation, enviroment, pollution, public and business affairs, international relations, and saftey, (c) other areas which the committee may deem appropriate.

Golf Tournamanet

Responsibilities: The committee shall: plan and orchestrate the management activities of the Club required to execute an excellent Annual Rocket City Classic Golf Tournament.

Public Relations

Responsibilities: The committee shall: perform all public relations functions for the community and the club. This will entail the publication of a monthly newsletter, promotion of major events, and the maintenance of the web page.

Sponsored Programs

Responsibilities: The committee shall: (a) devise ways and means to work with the Builder's Club at Ed White Middle School with the long term goal of also establishing a K-Kids Club at Highlands Elementary, (b) Encourage and promote the activities of all K-Kids Clubs, Builders Clubs, Key Clubs, and/or Circle K Clubs sponsored by the club.

Interclubs

Responsibilities: The committee shall on a regular basis schedule club members to attend interclubs. Provide attendance information to club secretary

Pancake Day

Responsibilities: The committee shall plan and orchestrate the management activities of the Club required to execute a Pancake Day.

Bylaws / Committee Duties Review

Responsibilities: The committee shall: (a) Review the Club Bylaws and reccomend appropriate changes to the BOD for approval and presentation to the general membership, (b) Review and recommend appropriate changes and additions to the Standing and Special Committees' duties and task.

Risk Management / Incorporation

Responsibilities: The committee shall analyze club operations, projects, and general events to determine accosiated risk and provide risk mitigation. The goal is to decrease the liability of the club in all of its activities. The committee should also examine the incorporation of the club based on the 1988 incorporation documents.

Gumball Machines

Responsibilities: Shall: (a) Develop and execute a management plan to keep the club informed on the status of our Gumball Machines, (b) maintain contact with the Vendor to insure he is servicing the machines on a timely basis, (c) periodically select a time and develop a promotional program to place additional machines throughout the Huntsville/ Madison County area.

Human and Spirtual Values

Responsibilities: The committee shall: (a) Plan and schedule events to co-operate on broad non-denominational lines with local religious leaders and groups in creating a greater public consciousness of the importance or religious and spiritual values, and urge all club members to support by example the work of their own churches. Recommend programs to speakers.
