"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
The encouragement Christ gave to the disciples and us is to be of good cheer, no matter what. "Not only be of good comfort, but be of good courage; have a good heart on it, all shall be well."
We must note that in the midst of the tribulations of this world it is the duty and interest of Christ's disciples to be of good cheer, to keep up our delight in God whatever is pressing, and our hope in God whatever is threatening and yet always rejoicing, always cheerful, even in tribulation.
Christ overcame the prince of this world, disarmed him, and cast him out; and still treads Satan under our feet. Christ does not abandon us to our struggles alone. If we remember that the ultimate victory has already been won, we can claim the peace of Christ in the most troublesome times.
"I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together."
The words we speak, the songs we sing, the doctrines that we teach will have their greatest meaning when we practice what we preach.
Remember, only what you do for Christ from a sincere heart will last!! Worship the Lord, and Praise His Holy Name!!(Hallelujah)
