About Dahabi Rhodesian Ridgebacks

Hi, from Dahabi Rhodesian Ridgebacks. We are located in south Florida and we have 6 Rhodesian Ridgebacks ranging in age from 1 year old to 12 years old.

Rhett is our 12 year old. He's a real southern gent - his mom coming from Biloxi, Mississippi, and his dad from Mobile, Alabama. And, frankly, as a puppy, he really didn't "give a damn" in true Rhett Butler style. He really settled into a nice boy though and has given us tons of pleasure and made us very proud of him in the show ring..

puppy's faceThen there are the one year old litter mates, as of March 31, 1999 - Kuma and Maya. They seem to be joined at the hip and can only be described as double trouble. Anyone who has kept litter mates has to be out of their mind and knows what I mean. Kuma has started his show career and is half way to his championship, including one major. However, Maya's show career has been limited and she has an impressive single point!

In between, are the girls. There’s Kali, who will turn ten in October. She is the protector of the house and still very alert. She has a way of welcoming people into the house but does not always allow them to leave, especially if they are unescorted. There's no sneaking out of this house unless you live here.

Cami (5 years) on the other hand, would like to invite everyone in for a little game of catch me if you can and to lead them to the refrigerator for her favorite snack of raw baby carrots. When she wants one she stands by the refrigerator and jumps up in the air off of all fours about two feet high. It's quite a sight.

Ko-di (also 5 years old and 2 weeks younger than Cami) is the explorer. She must check everything out, especially the garbage can in the kitchen. She also has a boyfriend who lives next door named Lincoln. He is a fox terrier. She will spend hours sitting by the fence waiting for him to come outside and play with her. Ko-Di is the mother of our newest additions. Check out the litter.

We must'nt forget Tara, our first ridgeback, and one of our smartest! She is sadly missed by all who knew her.

We enjoy showing our dogs and doing at least basic obedience with them, as well as sharing with them companionship and being as devoted to them as they are to us.

Well I guess that gives you a little idea of what our little clan is like. You know - you just can't have one ridgeback!!
