Algore's a Fruit Loop!!

In the past, the press has given a hard time to several of the vice presidents (Quayle, Bush, Ford...).  Who can ever forget the media circus that resulted from then Vice President Dan Quayle's spelling of the word "potato" with an 'e' (which actually is a proper spelling of the word)?  Quayle made one relatively small error in judgment and it was enough to label him a buffoon for his entire term as VP.

Anyway, the current VP has made a few faux pas of his own and  the media, as a whole, has ignored them.  The following is a list of just some of the things that our illustrious second in command has said and hardly given any mention in the press.  Some of the quotes are a little nutty.  Some show a bit of stupidity.  Others show what I would consider dangerous views for a potential president to hold.  Thank you to Gudrun Dees for sending me this little list. :o)

"What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is." -- Vice President Al Gore

"The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history.  I mean in this century's history.  But we all lived in this century.  I didn't live in this century." -- Vice President Al Gore, 9/15/95

I apologize for any offense taken by my calling Algore a Fruit Loop.  I realize that Kellogg's Fruit Loops™ is the favorite breakfast cereal for a great many morning people.  My sincerest apologies go out to Kellogg and the many fans of Toucan Sam and the cereal "Fruit Loops™"
