SIXTH GENERATION

50. Christian BODEY was born on 6 Oct 1795 in Virginia. He died on 21 Mar 1866 in Champaign County, Ohio. He was buried in Bodey Cemetery, Millerstown, Ohio. The family was listed in the 1850 Johnson Twp. census; 1870 and 1880 Adams Twp. census. Christian came to Ohio in 1816 with his brother Lewis. He returned to Virginia in 1818 when his father became ill. He then returned to Ohio in 1820 or 1821. He with his family and his brother and his family returned to Champaign County with the children of their father's second family.

Christian and Elizabeth had 12 children, 5 living to adult when the Champaign County History was written. He was married to Elizabeth FRYSINGER on 18 May 1815 or 22 Jun 1815 in Rockingham County, Virginia. This is actually the date their marriage bond was published and not the date of their marriage.

Elizabeth entered into Orphan's Court in Virginia on May 16, 1815 and made the choice of Christian Boody as her guardian. Christian and Frederick Boody entered a marriage bond in the amount of one hundred and fifty dollars on May 16, 1815 showing intent of marriage to be shortly solemnized between Christian and Elizabeth.

51. Elizabeth FRYSINGER was born on 20 May 1799. She died in 1865 in Champaign County, Ohio. She was buried in Bodey Cemetery, Millerstown, Ohio. Children were:

child i. Diana BODEY was born on 12 Mar 1816.
child ii. Adam BODEY was born on 10 Aug 1817.
child iii. Harrison BODEY was born on 14 Oct 1819 in Virginia. He died on 21 Dec 1891 in Champaign County, Ohio. He was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Millerstown, Ohio.
child iv. Elias BODEY was born on 16 Dec 1823.
child v. Christena BODEY was born on 24 Mar 1825.
child vi. Isaac BODEY was born on 24 Jan 1827.
child vii. Andrew BODEY was born on 1 Jan 1829. He died on 13 Feb 1907 in Champaign County, Ohio.
child viii. Elizabeth BODEY was born on 24 Mar 1831.
child25 ix. Catherine BODEY.
child x. Christian BODEY was born on 20 Sep 1835.
child xi. Hannah BODEY was born on 18 Jul 1837.
child xii. Mary Ann BODEY was born about 1840/41. She died between 1880 and 1890.
