Penn Yan Chronical:
..."Alexander Francisco, age 15 yrs., was found hanging 5 May 1858 in a shed at his home in Middlesex, Yates Co. He was the son of John R. Francisco and it is thought he intended it as a childish prank just to frighten his parents. He had told several children to run to the house quick, as he intended to hang himself. Perhaps he was seized with the fancy to know something about the sensation that hanging would produce, without a thought of the consequences of his foolish experiment. No one knows for sure." 6 May 1858 Note: Did not receive and review the portion of the Yates 1860 Feberal Census that included the John R. Family.

..."Alexander Francisco, age 15 years, was found hanging 5 May 1858 in a shed at his home in Middlesex, Yates County. He was the son of John R. Francisco and it is thought he intended it as a childish prank just to frighten his parents. He had told several children to run to the house quick as he intended to hang himself. Perhaps he was seized with the fancy to know something about the sensation that hanging would produce, without a thought of the consequences of his foolish experiment. No one knows for sure." 6 May 1858.

..."Levi C Francisco, 85, well-known Middlesex (NY) resident, died at his home in Middlesex January 5, 1933. Mr. Francisco spent the greater part of his life in Middlesex. For many years, he conducted a modern three-story hotel, he also stocked a complete line of carriages, harnesses and supplies, managed the branch store of Charles Conklin and Sons of Penn Yan, well known dealers in Yates County. He did much to improve the business and residential section of Middlesex. He built the fine modern two-story home on West Avenue; the building known as the Cateract Block, which for many years was occupied by a barber shop and meat market; the present post office building, the residence now occupied by A. E. Wilson and the fine two-story two-family apartment, where he lived with his daughter, Mrs. Florence Moore, at the time of his death.
For many years, Mr. Francisco acted in the capacity of Justice of the Peace, Constable, and Welfare Officer. He was well versed in law and often gave his opinion and advice in many business matters. He leaves besides his daughter, Mrs. Florence Moore, two grandsons, William of Middlesex, and Ivan of Lyons. Burial was in Middlesex Cemetery."
