Crockpot Beef Stew
2 lbs. stew beef
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. paprika
1 pound carrots
5 potatoes
1 can condensed beef broth
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. soy sauce
1 lg. onion
1-16 oz. can tomato sauce
Layer potatoes, then carrots. Top with meat; sprinkle meat with soy sauce, salt, paprika, pepper & flour. Spread with chopped onions. Combine beef broth & tomato sauce & pour overall. Cover & cook on low 7 - 8 hrs. or high 4 - 5 hrs.
Note: The original recipe came from Lisa C., my former boss at the site I work for. I always told her it needed to be called Lisa's World Famous Beef Stew because it's by far THE best beef stew I've ever had. All the posters on my message boards agree! I've altered it slightly to make it "stretch" farther as my family likes to eat! We like it served with cornbread or pimiento cheese sandwiches.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
