Smothered Steak Strips


2 lbs. round steak, cut in 1" strips
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 onion (diced)
1 large green pepper (diced)
1/2 cup ketchup
1 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup water
4 oz. mushrooms, canned
1 Tbsp. molasses
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. soy sauce

Place steak strips, flour, salt, and pepper in slow cooker. Stir well to coat steak. Slice onions and pepper very thin. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cover, cook on high for 1 hour then on low for 8 hours. Serve over rice, noodles, potatoes, or with crusty bread.

Note: This also makes a good sandwich filling. Add some homemade oven fries for a complete meal.
