Stir Fried Cabbage Dinner


1 lb. VERY lean ground beef
1 onion (diced)
1 bell pepper (diced)
1 cup celery (diced)
1 head cabbage (shredded)
1 lb. carrots (shredded)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
3 Tbsp. worchestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups cooked rice


Brown ground beef with onions, peppers and celery. Drain well and rinse with hot water. Add all remaining ingredients (except rice) in a large Dutch oven. Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the pot. Steam until cabbage is tender. Add rice. Simmer about 20 minutes on low. Be careful to watch this and add water if necessary to avoid scorching.
