My mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in the summer of '93. She had a pallidotomy done on the right side of her brain in the spring of '2000. The surgery was successful in ridding her of the dyskinesia in her left shoulder. She hopes to have the DBS done in a couple of years.
