Review: Jafar is quite a character! He's not only got his mind set on taking over Agrabah, the guy wants to take over the universe. He's just one of the many fantastic characters in Disney's delightful interpretation of the Arabian myth. Almost everything about Jafar is perfect. From his character design, to his voice, to his development. His evil, yet somewhat "wimpy" voice (I mean that in a good way), is provided by John Freeman, very nicely I might add. And as for the man responsible for bringing this wretched man to life, a big round of applause! That man would be Andreas Deja, one of Disney's most talented animators today. He's the man responsible for such other villains as Gaston, Scar, and the upcoming Yzma in Disney's "Kingdom of the Sun." Unlike other Disney villains like say Sykes or Shere Khan, Jafar is given the right amount of time and space to develop and evolve into such a memorable character. I think Jafar is probably one of the best male Disney villains to date!
