Devil's Eye." that's where poor, innocent Penny comes in.
Review: The villains of the "dark age" start to go up hill, beginning with Madame Medusa. Though she isn't fantastic, she is pretty decent, and a whole lot better than say Prince John or Edgar (much, much better than Edgar). She's funny and sarcastic at times, and cruel at others, but it's not as natural as Cruella De Vil, or Madame Mim (Speaking of Cruella, in earlier stages of production on "The Rescuers," Medusa was originally going to be Cruella De Vil, on another one of her schemes of money and power, but the animators quickly trashed the idea). Medusa's drawing style is a little too simple and plain for my taste. And Geraldine Page's voice kind of gets on my nerves after a while. Besides all those negative aspects, Madame Medusa still has her good points, like her funny sarcasm and utter cruelty.
