Vines Collier

VI.  Vines Collier, b 1735, son of Isaac Collier and Anne Vines, came from Va. to Ga.  Before
        coming to Ga., he served as ensign and Lieut. in the French and Indian War and was in the
        expedition at Ft. Duquesne (Pittsburg).  He married in Brunswick Co.,  Va., about 1760 Sarah
        Elizabeth, dau of Benjamin Williamson, and moved with his family to Wilkes Co., Ga. about
        1780 and  later to Oglethorpe Co. where he died in Sep. 1795.  He is buried at Old Salem
        Church in Oglethorpe Co., Ga., 6 miles southeast of Lexington.
