I believe that the time is very short before the return of
Jesus and that we don't have time to waste in sharing at every
opportunity God gives us. |
God Loves You
Set aside the issue of what you've done wrong in your life. Jesus wants to make it right. He loves you; He knows you by name. He wants to take you right where you are; you don't have to get your life together first. The issue isn't what particular sin you've committed, the real issue is who Jesus is and what decision you make
about him. So, I want to share these scriptures with you:
He will make us new creations. Listen to this: "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." That's the bad news. I would say that the above description of sins just about covers everyone, including me. But the exciting part is, there's hope! You can be forgiven. You can be set free. You don't have to remain in the cycle of sin and guilt. Listen to the Good News:
"And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (I Corinthians 6:9-11, NIV) Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for you and for me, you can spend eternity with Him.
God wants you to be free from the grip of sin and become
an heir with Christ Jesus. He wants you to be His child. Satan comes
as an angel of light to deceive (II Corinthians 11:14), but he wants
to kill and destroy you. (I Peter 5:8). He is the father of lies (John 8:44). He hates you. God loves you. He died for you. You can pray this prayer anytime you want to accept Jesus
as your Lord and Savior. I urge you not to delay:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I
can't do this on my own. I repent of my sin. I ask you to come into my
heart and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I believe that you died for me and that you forgive me of all my sins. Thank you for doing
this for me. Amen
So, Now What???
If you prayed that prayer and were sincere, then you're now a part of the family of God. You are now in the body of Christ. But what do you do now? Here are some things that will help you in your new life:
God loves you and will help you everyday. He will never leave you or forsake you. You can trust Him!We're all going to spend eternity somewhere . . . It's your choice that determines where.
