Savoury Lamb Chops


8-10 Mutton or Hogget Leg Chops

4 Tbsp Brown Sugar

1 tsp Mustard Powder

1 tsp Curry Powder

1 tsp Ginger Powder

4 Tbsp Flour

4 Tbsp Vinegar

½ Cup Plum or Tomato Sauce

2 Cups Water

Flour for coating chops

Coat chops on both sides with flour then brown on both sides in a little dripping. Put into oven dish. Into a pot add remaining ingredients, bring to boil and pour over chops. Cover and bake in oven for 2 hours at 150ºC.

This is delicious served with baked potatoes and sour cream, peas and salad.
