Seika means the "Olympic torch" in Japanese. The petals are shining Rose Pink like fire. This rose was named Seika in memory of Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964. Seika is one of the excellent Japanese roses and New Zealand Gold Medal winner in 1972.
I began to raise Seika nearly twenty years ago. I love Seika's fragrance which reminds me of old home.
Seika is easily affected by cold weather.
