YAHOO CHRISTIAN CHAT

Ok what is this page you are wondering, Right?

Well let me try to explain a little bit. What I hope to do is to address some of the issues that are constantly brought up in Christian Chat in a little more detail and to offer the scripture references for these issues.

Scroll down through these topics. I am sure you will want to read all of them ;o)

PROVE IT
So often people come into chat wanting Proof of My God's exsistence or convinced there really is a God. well fortunatley or unfortunately it is not the Christians job to prove anything to you. And I can most certainly not convince you of anything. No one can come to the Father except they be called by Him.
As a Child of God it is my job to share with you the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that you may come to know Him. Then it is between you and God what happens next.
It is the job of the Holy Spirit to convict your heart in God's timing not Man's.
Once you are convicted by the Holy Spirit then it is your job to accept or deny Christ as your personal Savior.
So if you want proof or convinced ask God to reveal Himself to you. All I can do is show you the example of Him in my life and prove I am a His child.
A note to the believer, if you are trying to convince these people you can't I am not saying don't witness to them or to ignore them. Share the truth of God with them, set an example for them, be a living testimony, definitely pray for them, but remember only God can change a heart.

HOMOSEXUAL CHRISTIANS
We have all come across those in Christian chat proclaiming Christ as Savior as well as clinging to a homosexual lifestyle. Well I have tried to explain my veiws on this as follows:
Can a homosexual become a Christian as in have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? YES, Most definitely.
Will they continue in their homosexual lifestyle? From the scripture I have read I would think not.
Why? Because in the old testament as well as the new testament homosexuality is called sin. Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:27 and I Corinthians 6:9-10
As with all other sin when you receive Christ as Savior you receive the Holy Spirit and He convicts you of sin. That should create a desire in you to repent of sin if you are paying attention to Him. Remember the definition of repent...to turn from sin to God; changing your mind concerning sin, God and self. Not just apologizing for it and going right back to it. Not that there will never be a time we may fall back to the same sin, but we should at least have a desire to be free from that sin. Therefore changing your lifestyle to one pleasing to God not calling it an acceptable lifestyle before Christ.
Some say it is genetic. God did not make allowances for it being genetic when He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for it. That should probably tell us that God did not create anyone as a homosexual.
So what about those that chose to continue in that lifestyle and claim to be saved? As Christian brothers and sisters we are suppose to let them know what they are doing is sin according to scripture and they are wrong...Or to rebuke in love as Christ and the disciples did not for any other reason. Following are some scripture to show why that is a lifestyle not pleasing to God. The previous scriptures establish it as sin.:
Ephesians 5:8 ...Walk as children of light
Ephesians 5:11 ...Have no fellowship with darkness
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 5:24-25 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit let us also walk in the Spirit. I John 3:4-9 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor know Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Gos was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
In conclusion as it relates to chat.. You may be a Christian. I can not judge your heart, that is God's job, but do not blatently display your sin as something God accepts as Ok, when His Word specifically calls it sin, and you are wrong to continue in it. Therefore you need to have a closer look at scripture and spend some time talking to God about it to see what He has to say about it and be willing to listen and obey Him.

GUARANTEED SALVATION
Imagine my surprise while in chat the other day I, along with the others in the room were told that we don't get salvation till we die and to say that we do is vain and not a child like humble faith.
According to my Bible, God's Word, My salvation is promised to me at the time I confes Christ as my Savior and give my life to Him. At that time I am sealed with the Holy Spirit.
II Corinthians 1:21-22 "Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has annointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee"
* Guarantee...defined as a part of a purchase price paid in advance as a down payment.
Ephesians 4:30 "And don not grieve the Holy Spirit of God by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."
* Redemption...defined as a release secured by the payment of a ransom, deliverance setting free.
Both of these verses clearly point out that at the moment we believe we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of God. He indwells us and we at that moment receivea place in Heaven. It is a gift given to us.

SIN IN CYBERVILLE...Is it REAL SIN or JUST CYBER??
For some reason when many people enter into "cyberville" they forget that those names in there are people. Things that happen in there have lasting affects, not only on the people there, but their families, churches etc... These affects can be good, or they can be bad.
More and more we hear about CyberRelationships, sometimes one or more of the people are married next thing you know they are in love without regards for their Real life situations. Married or not it doesn't seem to matter, Why is it if it is cyberville we don't see it for what it actually is sin as adultery. Falling in love with someone while you were married is sin. It is not pleasing to God. Reguardless of your circumstances. Read the scriptures they are clear. Here are a few to start you on your journey:

Why is it when People enter into Cyberville often times we forget, that as Christians, we are suppose to be the Example of Christ. Make sure your relationships are reflecting this example. I have many friends I love dearly in Christ's love male and female and there is nothing wrong with healthy relationships. It is great to have sort of an extended family, to share Hugs smiles and happiness or saddness at times with, Just becareful and keep these relationships in Check according to God's Word not how you feel or what you Think you deserve.
It is not only adultery that goes on in Chat, but there are lies and deceit too. People enter chat and become whoever and whatever they want to be. Remember Just because you can not "be seen" by the person you are talking to. God sees all and Knows all.
I am perfectly aware that there are some, maybe even many who do not agree with me, and will say Ohhhhhh Bcnyall is Judging. I am not. I sin, everyone does therefore I am in no position to judge. But what I can do is compare what I see going on with what God says in His word, and share that. Typically it is only a few people that cast this shadow in public anyway, who knows what goes on in the Pms... But when Christians fall in to Sin it reflects on the entire body of Christ. We are told in scripture, Galatians 6:1-2 "Brethern, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you be tempted. Bear on another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." None of us are above sin. We as Christian are here to help our brothers and sisters in Christ.
