Record 1824. The 1860 and 70 census lists Reuben's wife as
"Mary" who may or
may not be the same person listed in 1850 as "Rebecca".
Also, the 1860 census
shows Reuben (59) living next to Edward Hicks (63), probably a
brother. And
not far away is Elbert Hicks (28). In 1870, Reuben and Edward are
listed
three houses apart.
He was married to Rabecca Simmons BROOKS on 18 Mar 1824 in Williamson Co, TN. Rabecca Simmons BROOKS was born in 1805 in Pennsylvania. She died before 1860. Reuben HICKS and Rabecca Simmons BROOKS had the following children:

as "Claiborne T. Hicks".
He was probably born in or near the city of Franklin in
Williamson Co, about
25-30 miles south of the heart of Nashville, TN; his obituary
said he was born
in Davidson Co.

HICKS was born on 6 Feb 1888. He died on 3 Jul 1956. He
was buried in Richwood Cem., Clay Co., AR. He was adopted.
Frank and Nan Hicks were killed in an
accident when Hary Hicks was a young boy.
He was raised by Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Smith in Corning AR.
They were married in Corning on January 19, 1896. They had seven
children five of which were still living on thier 63rd wedding
anniversary (1959) they were: Maud Smith, Ellen
Blaylock, Fay Smith, Floyd Smith, and Loyd Smith.
He was married to Effie May MILLER (daughter of L. D.(William) MILLER and Alice CLARK). Effie May MILLER was born on 29 Jan 1889 or Jun 1890 in Missouri. She died in Mar 1977. She was buried in Richwood Cem., Clay Co., AR. Harry Harrison HICKS and Effie May MILLER had the following children:
