31. Catherine⁴ LEWIS (Rees Joseph⁵, Joseph⁶)⁽⁵⁴⁾ was born in Cil-y-cwm, Carmarthenshire, South Wales, October 3, 1864. She died August 18, 1956 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA, at 91 years of age. Her body was interred in Waverly, Lackawanna County, PA, in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

She married John Jenkins DAVIES in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA, December 15, 1897. He was born in Swatara, Dauphin County, PA June 7, 1860. John⁽⁵⁵⁾ was the son of Henry P. DAVIES and Sarah JENKINS. He died February 17, 1930 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA, at 69 years of age. His body was interred in Waverly, Lackawanna County, PA, in Hickory Grove Cemetery. John's occupation: Pharmacist and Drug Store Owner in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA, until his death. (See John Jenkins DAVIES for the children resulting from this marriage.)

Kate's occupation: Elementary School Teacher then Homemaker in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA, before 1897. When she was very young she came with her family to Scranton, PA, where she spent the rest of her life. She went to Bloomsburg State Normal School and taught in the Scranton public schools for a number of years.
