115. Granville LaForce⁶ COCKRILL (John⁷, John⁸ COCKERILL, John⁹ COCKERELL (-ILL)) was born in Cornersville, Marshall County, TN, 1809. He died September 23, 1846 in Nashville, Davidson County, TN, at 37 years of age.

He married Louisa Maria TURNER January 29, 1835. She was born 1817. Louisa⁽¹⁸¹⁾ was the daughter of Sugres TURNER and Rebecca DeLONEY. She died 1862 at 45 years of age.

Granville LaForce COCKRILL and Louisa Maria TURNER had the following children:

116 i. Sterling Turner⁵ COCKRILL⁽¹⁸²⁾ was born near Tuscumbia, Franklin County, AL, December 11, 1835. He died September 24, 1848 at 12 years of age.

+ 51 ii. Sarah Louisa COCKRILL was born December 1, 1837.

117 iii. Mary ('Aunt Molly') Elizabeth COCKRILL⁽¹⁸³⁾ was born, November 5, 1839. She died May 25, 1875 in Nashville, Davidson County, TN, at 35 years of age.

118 iv. John LaForce COCKRILL⁽¹⁸⁴⁾ was born, October 14, 1841. He died November 6, 1855 at 14 years of age. Conflicting evidence states that John was born November 10, 1841.

119 v. Washington Pike COCKRILL⁽¹⁸⁵⁾ was born near Tuscumbia, Franklin County, AL, May 24, 1844. He died March 8, 1884 in Culleoka, Maury County, TN, at 39 years of age. His body was interred in Culleoka, Maury County, TN.⁽¹⁸⁶⁾

120 vi. Granville LaForce COCKRILL II⁽¹⁸⁷⁾ was born, September 3, 1846. He died August 10, 1848 at 1 year of age.
