According to Ron BOOE's excellent BOOE website, "Philip took an oath of allegiance Pennsylvania, 1738. The first indication of the family of Booes in America comes from the Philadelphia passenger record of Strasburgers Vol. 1 page 233. This record is as follows: Palantines imported in the "Snow Fox" Charles Ware Commande from Rotterdam but last from Plymouth in old England. Qualified October 12, 1738. Phillip Jacob and his family arrived in Philadelphia on October 12, 1738 aboard the Snow Fox, a type of two-masted sailing vessel common in the 18th century. They remained in Pennsylvania for sometime and became a part of the Pennsylvania Dutch Society. Their son, Christopher Booe, left Pennsylvania and was in Rowan County, North Carolina by 1756."

according to Ron BOOE's website: "The
following individual is also linked to this event: Ad
OSBORN (witness). Listed on the 1768 Rowan County Tax
List of Morgan Bryan Listed on the 1772 County Tax
list of William Sharp."
I believe that
among the children of Rudolph/Rudolphus (Ruliff) BOOE
and Mary BUSHELLSON was a daughter who married
William DODD of Greene Co, TN. William and wife lived
in the Greene Co household of Rudolphus and Mary BOOE
for 15 years. Rudolphus sold off his land to William
DODD, and I believe Rudolphus was living in William's
household in the 1830 census. William DODD's first
daughter, who "should have been" named for the wife's
mother, was Mary, and his second son, who "should
have been" named for the wife's father, was Rudolphus
